Digital Marketing Coordinator

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000, depending on knowledge and experience

Main Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy marketing team. This role involves assisting with the planning, implementation and reporting of digital marketing activity including social media and email campaigns. To provide day to day marketing support to the company. Coordination and recording of all on-going requests to the marketing team via the task list. On-going maintenance of the company intranet via the CMS system. Collation of customer feedback data through the claims survey for management reporting and responsible for print quotations and stock levels.

Responsibilities

Principle responsibilities

  • Creation of social media content in line with company b2b objectives.
  • Creation of press releases and articles to appear on company websites and distribution of press releases to relevant media.
  • Operational responsibility for the company intranet, including its maintenance and development via the site’s content management system (CMS) and liaison with external website agencies to ensure its usability, functionality and relevance for colleagues.
  • To monitor satisfaction through the customer claims survey by managing the email distribution as well as collation and analysis of results data both monthly and via a detailed quarterly report for on-going management information.
  • Quarterly review of 3 company websites to check functionality, ensure links remain relevant and refer inconsistencies in copy content to senior personnel. Identification of defects and where relevant liaison with developers to correct. 
  • Production of website statistics through Google analytics to monitor the performance and effectiveness of company websites.
  • Agree to adhere to all company policies including but not limited to the data protection policy.

Other responsibilities

  • Carry out general administration duties within the marketing department including dealing with incoming phone calls, emails and post.  
  • Creation of corporate documents including promotional flyers, forms for inhouse use and documents for internal distribution e.g. training guides, this includes liaison with colleagues, design within house style guidelines and copy collation.
  • Responsibility for the print production of company literature, including leaflets, flyers, forms, product brochures and other publications for internal and external distribution. This includes obtaining competitive quotations from suppliers and liaison with facilities dept. for storage and distribution. 
  • Coordination of all exhibition and events including, preparation of paperwork required by venues and organisers, liaison with senior colleagues, stand design and purchase of promotional giveaways. 
  • Maintain the purchase order system and monitor marketing spend against budget. 
  • Referral of sponsorship requests and maintenance of the donations register. 
  • Monitor and maintain a record of stationery stock levels including company literature, policy booklets.
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Marketing Manager.

Core competences

Essential

  • An understanding of digital marketing communication channels and techniques. 
  • PC literate with experience of using Microsoft office including Word and Excel. 
  • Excellent copywriting and copy-editing skills.
  • Experience of website management, including use of content management systems such as perch, web analytics and SEO.
  • Experience of managing social media and email campaigns. 
  • Effective time management and an ability to meet tight deadlines. 
  • A creative approach and an ability to work on own initiative. 
  • A team player with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a marketing or marketing related role.

Desirable

  • Experience of collating and analysing data using statistical or similar software packages.
  • An understanding of database management for marketing purposes.
  • Experience of using design packages such as InDesign, Publisher, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience of working within an insurance or financial services company or a regulated industry. 
  • Professional marketing qualification or relevant degree.
